Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

You know when you feel tired and need some down time but also feel like you want to do something creative? Well this is the DIY for you. Meet “TRELINDA”. She is a Twig Planter I put together and the journey was so meditative! Check it out:

I started off optimistic that the creepy looking tree in my backyard would give me the twigs I needed for this project.

But….. she just wasn’t right…. so off I went on a little adventure!

There is a beautiful trail near my house and after a bit of hunting, I found the perfect twigs! I’m pretty sure they were red dogwood. So it was back to the house for me to put my vision to life!

I had all my materials: a pot, floral foam, moss and my twigs. All items purchased at my local dollar store! (minus the pot which was sourced from a hardware store)

What could go wrong?

Well…. remember my cotton-phobia? Apparently floral foam has a very similar texture….

Guys - not even gloves helped. THIS. WAS. TORTURE.

Once that nightmare was over, it was time to add my twigs! Hello IKEBANA!

Next step was to cover that exposed floral foam with some moss (so I never had to be triggered by it again ha!)

And as a nice final touch, I added some twinkle lights to really give this piece some personality.
